Caring for your Cedar Sign

We use only the highest quality sign paints that are formulated especially for long-term exterior durability. Western Red Cedar is used because of its excellence natural resistance to the elements. To ensure a long life for your one of a kind cedar sign, minimal annual maintenance is required.

Choosing a site

To prolong the life of your cedar sign, choose a sheltered site – under tress or an awning or mounted on the wall of a building with an overhang. Sheltering the sign from the sun, rain and snow will extend the paint life. A small roof over the sign gives maximum protection.

Cleaning

Annually apply warm soapy water with a soft bristle brush and gently scrub the sign in the direction of the grain. Rinse with clean water. Any 24 karat gold leafing should be gently cleaned with a soft cloth.

A well-kept sign will provide many years of service and beauty.
