Estimate Guidelines

Each Warren Langley Sign is a hand-made original. You won’t find any “cookie-cutter”, “clip-art” or computerized production line here. There are several factors that influence the final price of your sign.

Factors affecting the cost of your sign:

Sign design
Square footage
Illustration
Posts and hardware
Delivery and installation

Other factors that Warren considers when completing your estimate are unusual shapes, time required for stage blasting to create multi-dimensional effects, the complexity of illustration and special finishes (e.g. gold leaf). Warren’s 25 years of experience allows him to estimate precisely so usually the price quoted is the price charged. You should be prepared to be billed +/- 10% of the estimate if complexities arise.

Sign design fee Fee depends on complexity and number of revisions. The more clear your vision, the lower the design fee.	$100 to $200 per sign
Logo design charge If we create a new logo for your sign that you purchase from us to use in other applications. There is no additional charge to use a customer-supplied logo.	From $200
Square footage charge Includes lettering, sand-blasting and painting. Excludes illustration. Rounded up to the nearest half square foot.	$150 single-sided sign $250 double-sided sign (minimum $200)
Illustration fee Hand–painted artwork that is not included in the square footage charge	$50 /hour
Carved rock and stone artwork, plaques and monuments	By estimate only
Shop rate For repairs or changes to existing signs or miscellaneous work.	$40 /hour

Prices do not include 7% PST (BC residents only) or 6% GST.

Design Copyright

The sign designs are limited for sign usage only. This applies to graphics created by Warren Langley Signs but not to existing logos provided by clients. If the client wishes to utilize the design also for a logo, copyrights must be purchased from Warren Langley Signs. An electronic file will then be sent to you which you can use to create letterhead, business cards, brochures, internet advertising, etc. Various file formats of the design will be also be sent to you on a CD

Payment Terms

A deposit of 50% is due when you approve the work order. We accept cheques, money orders or cash in Canadian or US funds. The balance is due upon delivery or prior to shipping.
